Agartala, 13th April 2026: An alleged violent attack took place yesterdat night at the residence of Madhavi Biswas in Jogendranagar, triggering concern in the locality after she and her son were reportedly injured. According to allegations, unidentified miscreants stormed into the house around midnight and launched a sudden assault.
Both Madhavi Biswas and her son were reportedly beaten severely, while parts of their house and a scooter parked on the premises were also vandalised. Local residents intervened and rescued the injured duo before shifting them to G B Pant Hospital for medical treatment. Hospital sources said they are currently undergoing treatment, though their exact condition has not been officially disclosed. Madhavi Biswas has been widely circulated on social media over the past year, often drawing attention for her outspoken remarks against political leaders, including the Prime Minister and several state-level representatives.
On the day of the ADC election, she reportedly made further controversial comments on social media, following which the attack is alleged to have occurred later that night.As of the latest reports, it remains unclear whether police have formally registered a case in connection with the incident. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement, and Madhavi Biswas has also not publicly commented following the attack.
