Agartala, 10th  February 2026 :   A drinking water tank, pipelines, and even a pump house have been installed in Debipur ADC Village under the Santirbazar assembly constituency. Yet, residents remain deprived of potable water due to unresolved issues with electricity connections and operator availability. Locals are questioning, what kind of development is this?

Despite the presence of government infrastructure, villagers say the facilities remain non-functional, leaving them in distress. The lack of access to such a basic necessity as drinking water has fueled frustration and anger among the community.

Residents acknowledge that MLA Pramod Reang’s efforts have brought visible improvements to this tribal-dominated area compared to earlier times. However, they allege that MDC Sanjib Reang has been absent from local affairs, with many claiming he has not been available to listen to the people’s concerns for a long time.

In this situation, villagers now place their hopes on MLA Pramod Reang to resolve the drinking water crisis and ensure that other development projects are implemented without delay.
