Agartala, 9th September 2024:    The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in the state due to a deep depression over North West-Central and adjoining North-West Bay of Bengal. Concerns have heightened for the South and Sepahijala districts with an alert issued for potential heavy to very heavy rainfall on September 12 and 13.

Today, the sky remained overcast, with the maximum temperature recorded at 35.8°C and the minimum at 27.5°C. The minimum temperature was close to normal across all districts this morning.

In light of the low pressure over North-West-Central and adjoining North-West Bay of Bengal, the Meteorological Department has also issued an orange alert for South and Sepahijala districts, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall on September 12 and 13.
