West Agartala Police Recover Five Stolen Bikes; Four Youths Detained

Agartala, 15th December 2025:  West Agartala Police have successfully recovered five stolen motorcycles and one bicycle during a police operation and detained four youths in connection with the thefts.

According to police sources, a complaint was lodged on December 12 regarding the theft of a motorcycle from Lake Chowmuhani. Acting on the complaint, police launched an investigation into the case. Over the past few months, several similar complaints of motorcycle theft had also been registered from areas including Lankamura, Ramnagar, and Jaynagar.

During the course of the investigation, police first detained one suspect. Based on his interrogation, four more individuals allegedly involved in the bike theft racket were identified and detained. Following their confessions, police recovered five stolen motorcycles and one bicycle from different locations.

The police official informed that the detained accused will be produced before the court on Monday with a plea for police remand for further investigation.

The detained individuals have been identified as Raju Shukla Das, Pradeep Namah, Bishnu Debnath, and Surajit Debnath.
