West DM administration withdraws one-way restriction from North Gate to Colonel Chowmuhani

Agartala, August 24, 2022: Aiming to provide better public convenience for movement of vehicles, West Tripura district administration in a government notification on Tuesday has withdrawn one-way restriction from North Gate to Colonel Chowmuhani between 9.30 to 11.00 AM and 5.00 to 6.30 PM.

A memorandum undersigned by the West Tripura district’s DM Debapriya Bardhan informed “Whereas, the Superintendent of Police, Traffic, Tripura vide letter no. 4980/F.44/SP(T)/RSV/2022 dated 22.08.2022 has requested to withdraw the earlier notification issued from this end regarding imposition of ‘One Way Road’ between Colonel Chowmuhani to North Gate for all kinds of vehicles including rickshaws from 9:30 AM to 11 AM and from 5 PM to 6:30 PM since as per ground situation the restriction of one way is not required any more.”

DM Bardhan also informed that the restriction of ‘One Way Road’ between Colonel Chowmuhani to North Gate for all kinds of vehicles including rickshaws is no longer required for the interest of public safety. “Now, therefore, I Debapriya Bardhan, IAS, District Magistrate & Collector, West Tripura District hereby withdraw the restriction of ‘One Way Road’ between Colonel Chowmuhani to North Gate for all kinds of vehicles including rickshaws for the interest of public safety. Take notice that the Superintendent of Police(Traffic), Tripura and the Municipal Commissioner, AMC shall enforce this order. This order shall take immediate effect”, the letter reads.
