Agartala, 7th September 2024: West Tripura district’s DM Dr. Vishal Kumar highlighted the significant strides made under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan, a visionary initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi aimed at tribal welfare.
Dr. Kumar noted that the campaign, which commenced on September 7 last year, focuses on mainstreaming development through 22 targeted projects. These projects are designed to uplift especially vulnerable tribal groups who have historically been excluded from development efforts. The primary objective is to ensure the successful completion of these projects.
He further elaborated that under this initiative, housing has been provided through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme. For those without land, space has been allocated through patta. Additionally, the Jal Jeevan Mission has ensured that drinking water is delivered to every household.
This comprehensive approach underscores the government’s commitment to improving the living standards and overall welfare of tribal communities.
