West RO visits injured poll worker, assures support

Agartala, 22nd April 2024:  In a compassionate gesture, Dr. Vishal Kumar, the Returning Officer for the West Tripura Parliamentary Constituency, paid a visit to a dedicated poll worker currently undergoing treatment at GB Hospital.

The poll worker, identified as Subhash Das, encountered an unfortunate incident during the polling day for the West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency.

Subhash Das, a respected teacher at West Jarulbachai Hariapara JB School, suffered an injury while en route to his polling station. Amidst his duty, he slipped and sustained a head injury, necessitating medical attention. Currently admitted at GB Hospital, his condition has seen significant improvement under medical care.

Dr. Vishal Kumar, upon visiting the injured teacher, extended his heartfelt support and assured all necessary assistance from the government. He engaged with both Subhash Das and his family members, ensuring them of continuous support throughout the recovery process.

Expressing optimism regarding Subhash Das’s progress, Dr. Vishal Kumar highlighted the improvement in his physical condition, noting his ability to converse and consume food comfortably.
