Without Engineers, development of state not possible: Sushanta

Agartala: September 15. Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury today said that without active participation of engineer’s development of state is not possible.

Chowdhury who is also minister of DWS today participated in a colourful rally which was organised to celebrate 55th Engineers Day in Agartala.

Later he said, “Today is the birth anniversary of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya who was an eminent engineer. Like we celebrate Doctors Day, Teachers Day the state government has also decided to celebrate 15th September as engineer day. Like other state in our state also we celebrating this day to make it memorable. Engineers play a crucial role in development. In our state also engineers are working hard to reach Tripura in new height of development”.

The minister further claimed that without active participation of Engineers development of state is not possible.

“Like a patient needs a doctor for treatment, same development needs engineer. We all gather here to celebrate the birth anniversary of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya and a series of programme were organised like rally, blood donation camp. At evening CM will inaugurate a programme”, the minister added.

Today’s rally started in front of the Rabindra Shatabarshiki  Bhawan in Agartala in the joint initiative of “The Institution of Engineers (India) (Tripura State Center) and PWD of government of Tripura. “We celebrate this day as Engineers Day across the country to pay tribute to the greatest engineer of our. Engineers of our state are taking the state forward through technology and engineering development. Our government is always on the side of engineers. To build the developed and prosperous Tripura of our state we all expect engineers to play a key role. I wish all the programs undertaken on the occasion of 55th Engineers Day all success”, Sushanta added.
