Agartala, 25th April 2024: Laxmi Sarkar, a resident of Kakraban area in Udaipur, was rushed to Gomati District Hospital at Tepania after consuming soil fertilizer on Thursday afternoon. This incident follows a tumultuous series of events in Sarkar’s life.
Five years ago, Laxmi Sarkar entered into a social marriage with Nakul Nama Das, residing in the same area. Initially, their family thrived, culminating in the recent birth of a baby boy. However, discord arose when Sarkar fell in love with another individual and eloped a few days prior.
Subsequently, Sarkar was brought back to her family, and a collective decision was made to allow her to reside with Nakul, with her consent. Despite this attempt at reconciliation, the situation took a dire turn with Sarkar’s ingestion of soil fertilizer.
Upon admission to Gomati District Hospital, medical professionals determined that Sarkar required advanced treatment and promptly referred her to GB Hospital in Agartala for further care.
