Shop raided at Ramesh Chowmuhani in Udaipur: Rising theft incidents instill fear among locals

Agartala, 25th April 2024:   The state is witnessing a disturbing rise in theft incidents, instilling fear among the residents who are now living under the constant threat of being the next victims. The latest in the series of these incidents took place at Ramesh Chowmuhani in Udaipur, where a local shop was raided by a gang of thieves.

The shop, owned by Rakesh Debnath, was targeted last night after he had closed for the day and left for a family function. The thieves managed to break into the shop and made away with ten thousand rupees in cash and various other valuables.

The incident came to light this morning when Debnath returned to open his shop and found the back door broken. Seeing the theft, he immediately alerted other traders in the area who rushed to his aid.

Debnath, who has been running his business at Ramesh Chowmuhani in Udaipur for a long time, expressed his shock at the incident. The thieves not only took cash and a mobile phone but also various items from the shop, including cigarettes and cold drinks.
