Agartala, June 05, 2023: Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwarya Viswa Vidyalaya celebrated World Environment Day at North Tripura District Correctional Facility in Dharmanagar. Jailer Dhananjoy and 98 inmates in the correctional facility were present during the celebration of this day. Although the SDM was scheduled to remain present at this Environment Day celebration, but he could not attend due to unavoidable reasons.
A discussion meeting on World Environment Day was held with inmates inside the jail. At the end of the discussion, Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwarya Viswa Vidyalaya officials, district and under-trial prisoners participated in the tree planting ceremony. Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwarya Viswa Vidyalaya is constantly celebrating one social development and social awareness program in this way. Even on the 4th of June, Rani of Dharmanagar sub-division conducted an awareness with the local people on the release of drug addiction. Volunteers of Dharmanagar College Unit were present.
Meanwhile, Eco Club of North Point Class XII School Dharmanagar celebrated the ‘World Environment Day’ through a colorful program. Chairman of the management committee of the school Dr. Rajat Kanti Bhattacharya, Principal Shashank Shekhar Das along with other teachers, students and parents attended the event. The program started with the opening song by the students of the school. Chairman Dr. Rajat Kanti Bhattacharya discussed in detail about the significance of World Environment Day and the importance and relevance of tree planting. School principal Shashank Shekhar Das and science teacher Subrata Roy discussed World Environment Day and current environment. At the end of the program, the guests, teachers and students of the school participated in tree planting. 50 different types of trees are planted in the school.
