Agartala, August 25, 2023: A young woman died after drowning at North Kalabaria area under Santirbazar sub-division on Friday .It is reported that Mamta Majumdar, the 26-year-old daughter of Shibu Majumdar, a resident of North Kalabaria area, drowned while going to bathe in the pond.
Later, the family members came to know about the matter and took Mamta Majumdar to Maichhara primary health center. The doctor on duty there referred Mamta Majumdar to South Tripura District Hospital at Santirbazar for better treatment.
When Mamta Majumdar was taken to Shantir Bazar District Hospital, the doctor on duty declared the young woman dead. Family members said that Mamta Majumdar had epilepsy. So today this disease is being blamed for his unusual death.
The body will be handed over to the family members after post-mortem. A shadow of grief has descended on Mamata Majumdar’s untimely death.
