Agartala, 17th November 2025: A youth was arrested at GB Hospital after allegedly attempting to steal a gold chain from a patient. The incident took place when fire service personnel had brought an ailing man to the hospital for treatment.
It is reported that the accused took advantage of the situation and removed the patient’s gold chain, concealing it in his pocket. However, one of the fire service staff noticed the act and, with the help of colleagues, immediately detained the youth.
The suspect was later handed over to police, along with the recovered gold chain. Authorities confirmed that legal proceedings have been initiated against him, and steps are being taken to return the stolen ornament to its rightful owner.
