Agartala, 19th July 2025: A tragic incident has shaken Chatterjee Colony after a 23-year-old man allegedly died by suicide following emotional distress stemming from an illicit relationship with his friend’s mother.
The youth identified as Prasenjit Shil reportedly became romantically involved with the woman, a relationship that soon spiraled into turmoil. According to local sources, Shil had attempted to end the affair after realizing its moral and social implications. However, his decision was met with emotional resistance and threats of blackmail from the woman, who was determined not to let the relationship dissolve.
Caught in an emotional bind and unable to extricate himself from the situation, Shil allegedly posted about his experience on Facebook before taking his own life. In his final note, he expressed deep remorse and sorrow, particularly for betraying his friend’s trust.
