Agartala, 14th May 2025: A fatal road accident took place in the Shitalabari area, Palatana of Gomati district claimed the life of a youth, while two others sustained severe injuries. The incident took place when a scooty collided head-on with a Bolero car leading to the instant death of the rider identified as Jayanta Debnath, a resident of Shitalabari.
Two of Jayanta’s friends, Prankrishna Giri and Sagar Debnath, who were riding with him suffered serious injuries. Local residents promptly alerted the fire brigade, and a team from Kakraban fire station rushed to the scene, rescuing the injured and transporting them to Gomati District Hospital.
Medical authorities confirmed that Prankrishna Giri, due to his critical condition, was immediately referred to GB Hospital for advanced treatment. Meanwhile, Sagar Debnath remains under medical care at Gomati District Hospital.
