Agartala, 11th April 2026:   The body of Ramzan Mia, a young man from Kanchanmala Lakshichhara, who died in a train accident in Odisha, was brought back to his home early Saturday morning. His arrival in an ambulance around 6 a.m. cast a pall of grief over the entire locality.

According to family sources, Ramzan, the younger son of local resident Sona Mia, had left for Chennai about six months ago in search of work. He was returning home after completing his job when tragedy struck. Reports allege that four days ago he fell from a train in Odisha and died on the spot.

Following the incident, railway police and local authorities conducted a post-mortem examination. His body was then transported back to his village, where family members broke down in tears upon seeing him. Neighbors and residents gathered in large numbers to pay their last respects, with people from all communities — Hindu and Muslim alike — joining in mourning.

Later, his funeral prayers were held in accordance with Islamic rites, and he was laid to rest near his home. Locals described Ramzan as a gentle and respectful youth, beloved for his cheerful nature and kind demeanor.

The atmosphere in Kanchanmala remained heavy with sorrow as residents bid a tearful farewell to one of their own.
