Former Haryana Home Minister, Anil Vij, expressed his gratitude to the Election Commission, stating that “a big thank you to the Election Commission for taking note of our letter and changing the election date.”
Mr. Vij was responding to a question asked by media persons regarding the changes in the Haryana Assembly election dates.
He explained, “Our concern was that the original voting date fell in such a way that taking one day
Off could create a five-day holiday, increasing the likelihood of people travelling, which could have
led to a decrease in voter turnout. We are grateful to the Election Commission for changing the election date, he thanked.”
When asked about the rumoured rebellion within the BJP, he responded, “There is no such thing in
the BJP, and I have no information on when the BJP’s candidate list will be released.”
In response to another question, he added, “Haryana has implemented very strict laws for cow protection and against those who consume beef, but no one should take the law into their own hands.
A law has been established, and people should report such matters to the police. In today’s era, incidents like mob lynching are not acceptable.”
