ACB Court, Vijayawada grants permission to AP CID to issue PT warrant against Naidu

Date:

Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) court here on Thursday granted permission to Andhra Pradesh CID police to issue a ‘Prisoner on Transit’ (PT) warrant against Telugu Desam Party Chief and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the AP State FiberNet Limited (APSFL) scam case.

The ACB court directed the AP CID police to produce Chandrababu Naidu before the court on Monday, between 10 am and 5 pm.

It may be mentioned here that Chandrababu Naidu has been in the Rajahmundry Central prison since September 9 in the skill development scam case and his judicial remand would expire on October 19.

Significantly, the ACB court admitted the call data petition filed by Naidu lawyers. The Supreme Court has to deliver judgment on Skill Development case on October 13.

Meanwhile, the arguments on the anticipatory bail petition were completed in the AP High Court.

Naidu applied for anticipatory bail in the Angallu violence incidents case which took place at Angallu town in Annamayya district during his visit last month.

The AP HC reserved the judgment for October 13.
