Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday chaired a crucial meeting to review the law and order situation here.
The meeting was attended by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Delhi Home Minister Ashish Sood and senior officers from the Delhi government.
Besides, Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, Union Home Secretary, Intelligence Bureau (IB) Chief, and senior officers from the Ministry of Home Affairs were also present in the meeting.
According to sources, the meeting focused on strategies to enhance coordination between the newly formed Delhi government and the Delhi Police, as well as strengthen the policing measures to address emerging threats to law and order in the city.
The meeting also discussed how to improve the coordination between the Delhi Police and the newly formed Delhi government.
The meeting also assumed importance on how to tackle the new law and order challenges in the National Capital while simultaneously strengthening the police’s effort to address these challenges.
