Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, a leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) who is admitted in the JJ Hospital here, is in stable condition, doctors said on Saturday.
Deshmukh has undergone several tests, they said.
Deshmukh collapsed on Friday afternoon inside the Arthur Jail where he is lodged along with his Personal Secretary Sanjeev Palande and personal assistant Kundan Shinde in a money laundering case.
The NCP leader was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on November 2, 2021, based on allegations of corruption hurled by former Mumbai Police commissioner Param Bir Singh.
Singh alleged that Deshmukh, when he was the Home Minister, had asked the police to extort ₹100 crore from restaurants and bars.
