West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose has approved three long-pending Bills, which were passed by the state assembly in 2022 and 2023, official sources said.
The Governor’s office on Tuesday gave assent to these three Bills — West Bengal Land Reforms and
Tenancy Tribunal (Amendment) Bill, 2022, the West Bengal Taxation Tribunal (Amendment) Bill, 2022, and the West Bengal Town and Country (Planning and Development) (Amendment) Bill, 2023, Raj Bhavan sources said.
The Governor also recommended introduction of the West Bengal Minorities” Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2025, according to the Officer on Special Duty in Raj Bhavan.
The Supreme Court recently set a timeline of a month for the state governors to take action on the
pending Bills, which were passed by the state assemblies in the country.
