Bengal’s cultural tapestry is woven with threads from diverse indigenous communities : Mamata

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday stated that the cultural tapestry of Bengal is woven with threads from diverse indigenous communities.Taking to twitter, Banerjee said, ” On this International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, let’s celebrate their vibrant traditions, art, and heritage that enrich our state’s identity. Let’s pledge to walk alongside our Adivasi brethren. “

” May the people of this state, this nation, and the world at large rise above differences of caste, creed, religion and race to uphold and protect the rights of indigenous people because this isn’t just about one community, it’s about humanity, ” she maintained.

Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee said, ” Today, on Int’l Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, we recognise the invaluable contributions of our indigenous communities towards the diversity & progress of WB. “

” Let’s reaffirm our commitment to a future that protects their rights & celebrates their uniqueness, ” he tweeted.
