Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday met outgoing Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and newly appointed Governor Aarif Mohammad Khan in Raj Bhawan.
Kumar visited Raj Bhawan and met Arlekar, who was late during the day, and was given farewell. During his courtesy meeting with him, the CM expressed gratitude for his contribution to Bihar as Governor of the state.
Nitish also wished Arlekar for successful accomplishment of his responsibility during the tenure of Governor of Kerala, a new assignment for him. He also met newly appointed Governor of Bihar Arif Mohammad Khan and expressed happiness for his new assignment of the state.
Later, Arlekar was given farewell in Raj Bhawan as he would now take up the new responsibility as Governor of Kerala.
After that, he was seen off at Patna airport. Besides Chief Minister Kumar, Speaker of state assembly Nand Kishore Yadav, Chairman of Bihar Legislative Council Awadhesh Narain Singh,
Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Industries Minister Nitish Mishra and several other dignitaries besides senior officials were present on the occasion.
