BJP chief Nadda accepts Telangana MLA T Raja Singh’s resignation

Date:

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President and Union Minister JP Nadda has accepted the resignation of Telangana MLA T Raja Singh from the party with immediate effect.

Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh had submitted his resignation to Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy on June 30, expressing strong disappointment over media reports suggesting that criminal lawyer Ramchander Rao, a senior figure in the state BJP, was being considered for the party’s state president position. Rao has also served on the Bar Council of India.

Sharing the development with the media today, Arun Singh, the national general secretary and in-charge of the party headquarters, stated in a communiqué that “your resignation has been accepted with immediate effect as per the directives of the National President, Jagat Prakash Nadda. The contents of your letter do not align with the party’s principles, ideology, and functioning.”
