West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday charged the BJP with failing to fulfill its commitment.
Addressing a public meeting ahead of the July 8 Panchayat poll, Banerjee said, ” Despite
@BJP4India’s pre-2019 Lok Sabha election promise to reopen locked-out tea estates, they failed to fulfil their commitment. “
“Eventually, it was GoWB’s efforts that resulted in the reopening of these tea estates,” she stated.
Announcing that the State Government would grant Pattas to Tea Garden workers as a means to uplift and empower them, the Chief Minister said development and welfare go hand-in-hand in Jalpaiguri.
Stating that through Duare Sarkar and Sorasori Mukhyomantri, the State Government is committed to resolving people’s grievances, Banerjee said, ” Water connections have been provided to 1.54+ Lakh houses, while Pucca houses have been provided to tea plantation workers. Daily wages of tea estate workers have been increased. “
