Curfew imposed in parts of Imphal

A curfew was imposed from 11 am on Tuesday in Imphal West and Imphal East districts as stirs demanding action against militants intensified in Manipur, an official said.

Thousands of students have been on the streets since Monday, demanding the restoration of peace.

On Monday night, thousands of women took out a peaceful torch rally denouncing the alleged inaction of the government over attacks on civilians by suspected Kuki militants using drones and missiles.
