Fadnavis appeal to rid Mumbai completely of scourge of drugs

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has appealed to all the police officers and employees that we all have one focus to make ‘Drugs Free Mumbai’.

He was speaking on the occasion of ‘Umang 2023 ‘cultural program organised behalf of Mumbai Police and Entertainment Television Channel in Jio convention Centre in Mumbai at Kurla -Bandra complex here on Sunday night.

He said,” If we want to keep our next generation safe, we have to fight big against drugs. We want to rid Mumbai completely of the scourge of drugs.

The event was attended by Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar, Mumbai Special Police Commissioner Deven Bharti, senior administrative officers, senior police officers, film industry artists, musicians, directors among others.

Fadnavis further said, we are working to keep Mumbai, the financial capital of the country, safe. Mumbai Police works to promote the city of Mumbai as the safest city.

He thanked all the artists for entertaining the Mumbai police and their families through a cultural program called ‘Umang’, once a year by film industry artists.

Mumbai needs to be completely freed from the scourge of drugs. We have to fight the war against drugs. Mumbai Police has started this fight, he expressed.

“The police work round the clock for us, the government will always be at the forefront to do everything possible for them,” added Fadnavis.
