Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on Monday conferred Fiji’s highest honor – the Companion of the Order of Fiji (CF), by Fijian Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.
The two Prime Ministers met for bilateral talks on the sidelines of the Third FIPIC Summit in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
Accepting the award, Prime Minister Modi expressed his thanks and said it is an honour for the people of India and a recognition of the strong ties between the two countries.

MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi in a tweet said that during their talks the two leaders reviewed the close bilateral ties.
