A fire broke out at the Revenue and Disaster Management Department in Odisha Lok Seva Bhawan, the state secretariat here, on Tuesday.
Official sources said the fire was noticed on the first floor of the state secretariat, where the Revenue and Disaster Management office is located.
A thick smoke covered the Lok Seva Bhawan, and the fire tenders rushed to the area and doused the flame before it spread to other departments.
It was not immediately known the cause of the fire, but sources said an electrical short circuit in the Revenue and Disaster Department led to the fire.
