Five members of a family went missing under the debris after a cloudburst last night at Malagi-Dadiyat village of Aauli Tehsil under Paontasahib Subdivision of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, about 125 km away from here.
The district Emergency operation centre said that a cloud Burst occurred at 2030 hrs on Wednesday in Malagi-Dadiyat. Due to the incident, five members of the Kamar family, including Kuldeep Kamar, are missing in the debris.
DEOC said that there was apprehension that some other people were also missing.
Missing persons identified as Kuldeep Singh (60), S/o Sh. Sant Ram, Jeeto Devi (55) wife of Kuldeep, Rajni Devi (31) w/o Vinod Kumar, Nitesh (10) son of Vinod Kumar; and Deepika (8) daughter of Vinod Kumar.
Soon after the mishap, SDM Paonta Sahib, Tehsildar, and Naib Tehsildar were rushed to the spot. Rescue operations are continuously in progress. Police and HPPWD Department officials are on the spot to handle this situation.
