Three persons, including a woman, were shot dead by unknown assailants in Panchkula of Haryana early Monday morning, police said.
Police said the shooting incident took place at a hotel in Pinjore. A birthday party was going on when the incident occurred.
The incident occurred around 2:00 am when unidentified assailants opened fire on the gathering, leaving two men and
a woman dead.
The deceased have been identified as Vicky and Vineet, both residents of Delhi, and a woman from Hisar.
Police suspected it could be
a targeted killing involving gang rivalry as one of the victims had ties to criminal activities.
Initial investigations suggested that Vicky had ties to criminal activities.
Police have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage from the hotel.
