Three people were killed on the spot and two others injured in a collision between a car and a lorry on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Shamirpet on Monday morning.
According to the police, a speeding lorry lost control and crashed into a car after hitting a road divider, resulting in the deaths of the lorry driver and two people travelling in the car.
Two other occupants of the car sustained injuries. The accident occurred when the occupants of the car were proceeding to Medchal from Ghatkesar.
The injured individuals have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway, added the police.
