Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday attacked the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress and said that the people of the INDI alliance are rejecting the faith and devotion that has been going on for thousands of years just for the sake of vote bank.
Addressing an election rally here, the PM said, “People of INDI alliance hate Sanatan. I went to Shri Krishna’s real Dwarka which is under water and offered prayers. As a mark of devotion, I kept a Morpankh (peacock father) there, but Sehzada (prince) of Congress says that there is nothing worth worshipping there. These people are rejecting our faith and beliefs, whose evidence is there in front of everyone and which has been going on for thousands of years, just for the sake of the vote bank.”
He said, “I want to ask those, who call themselves Yaduvanshi in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and beat the drum, that if they are Yaduvanshi, how can they sit with a party which insulting a person, who worshipped at Dwarkadheesh, and how can they forge an alliance.”
Modi said that this game of appeasement pushed Uttar Pradesh, especially western Uttar Pradesh, into the fire of riots. “The people of UP can never forget that era of ‘gundaraj’ when riots used to take place every now and then and people were forced to leave their houses. There were so many localities in western UP where people were forced to paste posters of ‘house for sale’. Our sister and daughters were not safe,” he said.
He said that it was Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who got rid of such criminals, for the security of the people. “We should not allow such forces to become power again at any cost,” he said.
Without taking the names of SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the Prime Minister said that amidst all efforts being made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government for the welfare of the people, a shooting of the film of two Shahzadas is going on in Uttar Pradesh. “This film has already been rejected by the people,” he said.
He said that every time these people step out to seek votes from the public of Uttar Pradesh while carrying a basket of nepotism, corruption, and appeasement. “And during this campaign, they do not leave a single chance to attack our faith,” he said.
Modi said that when a grand Ram temple was constructed in Ayodhya, SP, and Congress rejected the invitation for the consecration ceremony. “These vote bank-hungry people rejected the invitation for the consecration of Lord Ram. They should look towards the people who fought the case for Babri mosque throughout their lives and attended the consecration ceremony after losing. They (SP-Congress) are feeling shame in this,” he said.
He said that these people abuse the temple and Sanatan faith almost every day. “A grand Surya Tilak of Lord Ram was done on the occasion of Ram Navami which the entire country witnessed. Today when the entire country is ‘Rammay’, the SP people call Rambhakts hypocrites just for the sake of the vote bank,” he said.
The Prime Minister said that the Lok Sabha election is an election for the future of the country. “Every vote of yours will decide the fate of India. BJP is moving ahead with a big vision and big targets for the villages and poor, but the entire energy of the people of INDI alliance is directed towards keeping the villages backward,” he said.
He said that it was due to this mentality that Amroha and regions like western UP had to suffer maximum loss. During the era of the INDI alliance, Uttar Pradesh was identified due to its backwardness. The same UP is now being recognised as a state with expressways. Today Uttar Pradesh has the maximum number of international Airports. Railway stations in Amroha and Gajraula are being modernised. Trains like Vande Bharat are being expanded on every route,” he said.
Modi said that to promote the textile industry in the country the BJP government is developing a textile park. “This will also benefit the garment industry in Amroha and will create maximum employment. What has been done in the last 10 years of the Modi government is just a trailer. We have to take UP and the country much ahead,” he said.
He said that previous governments kept on cheating SC, ST, and OBC in the name of social justice. “Modi is working day and night to fulfill the dream of social justice of Jyotiba Phule, Baba Saheb Ambedkar, and Chaudhary Charan Singh since you gave Modi a chance to serve the country,” he said.
The Prime Minister said, “When Modi frames a law to save our Muslim sisters from Triple Talaq it helps in ensuring social justice. When Modi provides water, gas, and electricity to every household the lives of women become easier which confirms social justice,” he said.
He said that so many generations of SC, ST, and OBCs passed their lives without electricity, water, and a dwelling of their own to live. “Modi, who is a son of the poor, is working hard day and night to bring people out of these problems. SC, ST, and OBCs are the biggest beneficiaries of four crore houses built by the BJP government in the last 10 years. In its manifesto, BJP has announced to construct three crore additional houses and every shelterless will get a house of his own and its Modi’s guarantee,” he said.
Modi said that Amroha and areas of western UP are also known for their hard-working farmers. “But the SP, BSP, and Congress government neither heard nor looked at or cared about the problems of the farmers. The BJP government is working day and night to reduce the problems of the farmers,” he said.
He said that farmers in Amroha have received Rs 600 crore of Kisan Samman Nidhi. “Urea which is being sold for Rs 3,000, we are providing it for less than Rs 300. Those who have seen the SP, BSP, and Congress government should look towards the Yogi government. Chief Minister Yogi cared about the sugarcane farmers most,” he said.
The Prime Minister said that the Yogi government not only ensured record procurement of cane but record payment is also being done. “During the SP government, an average payment of Rs 500 was made to the farmers every year. In the Yogi government, a payment of 1,500 crore is being made every year. While sugar mills were being closed one after another during the SP government, we are working to double the capacity of the Hasanpur sugar mill. We have also installed an ethanol plant,” he said.
He said that the first phase of voting is taking place on Friday. “This is a big day for the celebration of democracy. Therefore, I request all the voters to make use of this right given by the Constitution. Especially the youth who are going to vote for the first time because the 2024 Lok Sabha election is the election of the future of the country. Your every vote in this election is going to ensure the fate of India,” he said.
Modi said that the beat of the ‘dholak’ of Amroha resonates far and wide. “Amroha not only plays the dholak but also brings pride to the country in the world. The whole world has seen the amazing feat done by Mohammed Shami in the Cricket World Cup. For his excellent performance in sports, the Central Government has felicitated him with the Arjuna Award,” he said.
Without naming MP Kunwar Danish Ali, he said that the current Congress candidate from the Amroha seat faces difficulty even in saying Bharat Mata ki Jai.
