ISRO’s workhorse launch vehicle PSLV-C57
on Saturday successfully launched the 1,475 kg Aditya-L1 spacecraft,
marking the commencement of its 125-day loung journey to explore the
Sun, from the SHAR Range here at 1150 hrs.
After a 23 hour 40 minute countdown, the PSLV-C57 took off from the
Second Launch Pad in a textbook style and after a flight duration of
about an hour and five minutes placed the Satellite in a Low Earth Orbit
marking its four month long journey to study the outer atmosphere of
the Sun.
