IP university rises in QS Asia 2025 rankings

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has made steady progress in the QS Asia University Rankings 2025, securing the 320th position in Asia and 81st in South Asia.

In the last edition of the rankings, the University was ranked 143rd in South Asia and within the 500-550 range in Asia.

This significant jump in rankings reflects the university’s consistent efforts to improve academic standards, foster research, and engage in meaningful collaborations​.

In a competitive field of 984 universities evaluated across Asia, GGSIPU’s rise demonstrates its unwavering commitment to quality education and impactful research.

Professor Mahesh Verma, Vice-Chancellor of the university, expressing satisfaction with the progress, stated, “This recognition reflects our collective efforts to enhance research output, improve student learning outcomes, and engage effectively with global partners.” He emphasized that the rankings validate the university’s strategic direction and long-term vision​.

GGSIPU’s improved position in the QS Asia Rankings reflects advancement across multiple indicators, including academic and employer reputation, papers per faculty, and international research networks. Notably, the university achieved 136th rank in Asia for papers per faculty, highlighting its growing research productivity.

Looking ahead, GGSIPU plans to deepen its engagement with global partners and enhance its research capabilities. “The QS recognition is not just an endpoint but a new beginning. With strategic initiatives in place, we are confident that we will continue to make meaningful progress in the coming years,” added Professor Verma.
