Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy offered prayers at the Tirumala temple here on Wednesday.
After the prayers, the Chief Minister was offered Vedaseervachanam and Thirtha Prasadams.
Jaganmohan Reddy, who arrived on a two-day visit to the temple town on Tuesday, presented a pair of ‘silk vastrams’ to the temple on behalf of the state government in connection with the annual Brahmotsavams which began on Tuesday.
He also fulfilled his vow by performing ‘Tulabharam’ – an age-old practice wherein a person weighs himself sitting on a giant temple scale and donates food grains, sugar, jaggery and coins equivalent to his weight.
