The Jammu and Kashmir Police’s State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Wednesday carried out raids at seven places in the union territory in connection with militancy funding, officials said.
They said the searches were conducted in various places of Baramulla, Kupwara and Poonch districts.
The SIA was constituted by the J&K government last November for the investigation and prosecution of terrorism-related cases.
The SIA is also the nodal agency for coordinating with National Investigation Agency and other central agencies “to take measures as required for speedy and effective investigation and prosecution of terrorism related cases”.
