Karnataka HC verdict: Minister backs CM

Date:

Karnataka Minister Dinesh Gundurao on Tuesday expressed strong confidence in Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s innocence even as the Karnataka High Court approved an investigation into alleged irregularities concerning the allotment of 14 Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) sites to his wife.

Ahead of the HC verdict, Gundurao told reporters, “The Chief Minister is very confident about his innocence, and whatever happens, we will face it.”

Gundurao specifically referred to the issue surrounding Governor Taawarchand Gehlot’s sanction for an investigation into Siddaramaiah, emphasising that the real concern lies in the potential misuse of the governor’s powers.
