The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday announced that its convener Arvind Kejriwal will hold a ‘Janta ki Adalat’ (People’s Court) at Jantar Mantar here on Sunday to address the corruption charges levelled against him.
Kejriwal, who was released on bail by the Supreme Court in the alleged Delhi liquor scam case, tendered his resignation as Chief Minister of Delhi to Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Tuesday.
Addressing the media, AAP leader and Delhi CM-designate Atishi said, “While announcing his resignation, Arvind Kejriwal stated, ‘I will go to Janta ki Adalat (the court of the people)
“He will begin this by engaging with the public at Jantar Mantar on Sunday, where he will ask them whether he is corrupt or honest,” Atishi added.
AAP CM-designate Atishi will take the oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi tomorrow. AAP leaders Gopal Rai, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Kailash Gahlot, Imran Hussain, and Mukesh Ahlawat are also expected to take the oath as Ministers in her cabinet.
