Maha: NCP-AP releases constituency-wise election manifesto

In a first-ever exercise by a political party in the state, NCP-AP national president and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Wednesday released a constituency-wise election manifesto for upcoming assembly election, featuring 11 fresh promises.

For the first time, the 36-page manifesto was released simultaneously in all constituencies where NCP is contesting. Ajit Pawar unveiled it from Baramati, national working president & MP Praful Patel from Gondia, minister Chhagan Bhujbal from Nashik joined via video conferencing, while state president & MP Sunil Tatkare held a press conference in Mumbai to release the manifesto. Additionally, candidates from various constituencies joined via video conferencing.

The announcements in the manifesto include an increase in amount of the Ladki Bahin Yojana to Rs 2,100 from Rs 1,500, loan waiver for farmers, bonus of Rs 25,000 per hectare to rice farmers, creation of 2.50 lakh jobs, construction of 45,000 access roads in rural areas, a monthly stipend of Rs 10,000 to one lakh students through training programmes, monthly salary of Rs 15,000 to anganwadi and Asha workers, prioritising solar and renewable energy to reduce electricity bills by 30 per cent, price control on essential goods and a monthly pension of Rs 2,100 for senior citizens.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajit Pawar stated that a vision for a new Maharashtra will be announced within 100 days of the government formation.

“Programmes announced in the past four months have been implemented effectively by the Mahayuti

government through administrative machinery without formal declarations,” said Tatkare in the press

conference.

“These include the Ladki Bahin Yojana, free electricity for 44 lakh farmers, three free household gas cylinders for 52 lakh families and free education for girls from economically weaker sections. These programmes have received immense support from people across the state, benefiting families, youth and women. These schemes have resonated deeply with the public,” he added.
