Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge reached here on Thursday and met the family members of late Congress party MP Vasantrao Chavan at Naigaon in Nanded district.
Gandhi and Kharge offered their condolences to the family of Chavan.
Chavan, who was the Lok Sabha MP, passed away at KIMS hospital in Hyderabad on August 26 after battling with prolonged illness.
Rahul and Kharge was on a day-long visit to Maharashtra.
Gandhi is scheduled to unveil the statue of party leader late Patangrao Kadam in Sangli and address a public meeting later in the day.
