In cooperation with the state government, district administration, and Tata Technology Limited, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde opened the Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation, and Training Centre (CIIIT) on Wednesday evening, a statement issued by the Chief Minister Office (CMO) on Thursday.
The goal of the initiative is to enhance students’ skills in the Naxal-affected district of Gadchiroli and promote industry-based training within the district.
The Chief Minister said, “Not only children will be trained through this training centre but also entrepreneurs will be created from districts like Gadchiroli. The overall economic development of Gadchiroli will be boosted.
With the opening of a centre equipped with modern technology, many opportunities for training and employment will be available to the youth of Gadchiroli.”
Gadchiroli is focusing on developing infrastructure in the district with a view to the overall development of the district.
Action is being taken rapidly regarding roads, railways, communication facilities, and mobile networks, and we are trying to connect Gadchiroli district by air by developing an airport in the district.
CIIIT has been set up to promote industry-based training in tribal remote and Naxal-affected districts like Gadchiroli and, in line with Industry 4.0, to develop the skills of students in the district.
In this training centre, the students will be trained through nine different technical experiment schools in relation to the development of advanced technical skills according to the needs of the industry.
This centre will be implemented through the Collectorate, Gadchiroli, and Gondwana University.
The training will be given in the design and production of modern mechanical equipment, robotic lines, assembly lines, electric-based vehicles (battery-operated vehicles), and various parts of vehicles through this centre, he added.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Gadchiroli Sandeep Patil, Collector Sanjay Meena, Superintendent of Police Nilotpal, Tata Technology Gadchireli Project Manager Gajanan Javanjalkar, and Project Assistant Jeevan Kale were present in the programme.
