Maratha reservation activities Manoj Jarange-Patil left for Mumbai from Antarwali Sarati

Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil, who has been agitating to get a reservation for the Maratha community for the last seven months, on Saturday, along with thousands of Maratha protestors, they left for Mumbai from Antarwali Sarati village in Jalna district.

Jarange-Patil is firm on his demands on Saturday, which starts with a foot march towards Mumbai from Antarwali Sarati village to demand a reservation.

Interacting emotionally with community members while starting his march towards Mumbai, he said, “I want to say the last thing to the Marathas; I don’t know if I will be with you; we don’t want to break the unity of the Marathas. We don’t want to retreat unless we get a reservation. Why are we going to kill our children? They want to kill our children; they are taking it easy. Jarange Patil said that even after finding our records, they are not giving reservations.

“I must give justice to society. I am sorry that I will not be with you. I must also see society. Due to this hunger strike, my body is not supporting me much, and the fight is now extreme. So I have told my society to go to Mumbai so that the children of Marathas can grow up. Jarange Patil also warned that I would fight for society till my last breath.

However, a meeting has been called at the Chief Minister’s official residence at Varsha Bungalow in Mumbai to discuss the demand for Maratha community reservations today.

All collectors and divisional commissioners in the state will participate in this meeting. The Chief Minister will take all the information regarding reservations.

The government is trying to convince Jarange-Patil. If the reservation movement starts in Mumbai, a law-and-order problem may arise. Efforts are being made to understand them.

The demands of Jarange Patil will be discussed in the meeting called by the Chief Minister. Due to this, the meeting on Varsha Bungalow is considered important.
