A major fire erupted on Sunday morning in a ready-made clothing shop located in Palika Bazaar, within the jurisdiction of Market Police Station, Secunderabad.
Upon receiving the information, police and firefighters promptly arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the flames, according to police officials.
The entire area was engulfed in thick smoke, causing panic among nearby residents who rushed onto the streets, fearing for their safety.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is currently underway, police sources confirmed.
Meanwhile, Telangana Animal Husbandry Minister Telasana Srinivas Yadav visited the spot and inquired about the fire accident with the police and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials.
