Militants attack Meitei residents, ahead of Rahul’s visit

Suspected Kuki militants attacked people and fired upon a convoy of security personnel on Monday ahead of the visit of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

A combined force tried to search for the miscreants who attacked at the security; however, Kuki women blocked the Imphal Jiribam highway and stopped the movement of vehicles.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi has reached Jiribam district and visited a relief camp.
