Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held a massive road show here in the city ahead of assembly polls in the state.
During his roadshow, PM Modi waved at thousands of enthusiastic onlookers standing on the running board of his moving car. He greeted them who had lined up on both sides of the route.
Many others raised ‘Modi, Modi’ slogans, and at several places people showered flower petals as his cavalcade passed through the stretch slowly.
Modi is in Belagavi city to lay the foundation stone and dedicate multiple development projects, and also to release the 13th instalment of PM-KISAN worth more than Rs 16,800 crores.
There were also a number of skits performed by artists along the route, showcasing the culture and traditions of various regions of the country and historic personalities.
In 2018, BJP won 13 seats out of 18 assembly seats in Belagavi district, which is the second largest district after Bengaluru urban district.
