Nine persons, allegedly cadres of a Manipur based outfit, were apprehended by Manipur Police on Sunday in Kakching district.
Police said after killing of two persons from Bihar on Dec 14, police launched several operations at Kakching.
Police nabbed a person identified as Rameshwar. Based on his statement and interrogation of other persons eight more persons were picked up.
Arms and ammunitions were also recovered from them. CM N Biren already announced to provide ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh each to next of kin of the two deceased persons.
The CM further said if required the case will be handed over to NIA to nab those responsible for the attack
