Odisha: Five members of a family die in a road accident


) In a tragic incident, five members of a family including two children died in a road accident near Chuinbandha on Sambalpur- Balangir national Highway number 26 in Odisha’s Balangir district late last night.

Balangir SDPO Tofan Bag said seven members were travelling in a car which rammed into a truck parked on the national highway number 26 late last night killing five members on the spot.

The impact of the collision was so furious that five died on the spot. The Police on being informed about the accident rushed to the site, recovered the bodies and rescued two injured persons from the ill-fated car.

The injured persons were admitted in the VIMSAR hospital in Burla. All the deceased belonged to Balangir and have been identified.

Police said the accident occurred when the family members were returning home after attending a wedding event. The driver lost control over the wheels and rammed into a stationary truck parked on the roadside.
