Once again the media has been buzz with speculation since Wednesday
morning that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin’s son and Sports Development and Youth Welfare Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin will be elevated as Deputy Chief Minister.
Reports were doing the rounds since morning that an announcement about his elevation will come
later in the day.
DMK sources said it is unlikely to happen today and the elevation would happen soon.
Mr Udhayanidhi also rejected the speculation and said it was for the Chief Minister to take a decision.
“I have not gone to Anna Arivalayam (party office) today. I am in some other event and that he had
no such information”, he said, and urged the media to stop speculating and leave the decision to the Chief Minister.
He also reiterated his earlier remark that all Ministers are deputies to the Chief Minister.
