PM condoles loss of lives in Vadodara bridge collapse, announces ex-gratia relief

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi today expressed sorrow over the loss of lives following the collapse of a bridge in Gujarat’s Vadodara district.

The tragic incident has resulted in multiple casualties and left several injured.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, the Prime Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and extended wishes for the speedy recovery of those injured.

“The loss of lives due to the collapse of a bridge in Vadodara district, Gujarat, is deeply saddening. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon,” the Prime Minister wrote.

Modi also announced an ex-gratia payment from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). The families of those who lost their lives will receive Rs 2 lakh each, while Rs 50,000 will be provided to each of the injured.
